My goal is to inspire teachers to create a cognitively rich environment for the early childhood classroom through the use of developmentally appropriate practices of play and exploration. It is my hope to empower teachers to develop their own teaching craft by teaching with passion and heart!

How can we help you teach, learn, and grow as an early childhood educator?

1 - Workshops:

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." ~Benjamin Franklin

This quote always comes to mind when I am creating rich classroom experiences for children and I feel it is true for adults as well.  I believe teaching should be fun! Teaching should be easy! Teaching should be effective! Our workshops and professional development trainings are designed to meet these needs. In both in person and online sessions you will find yourself ready and inspired to take on the ECE classroom!

"Andrea ALWAYS inspires!! I leave her classes just as excited as when I was six years old getting new shoes for the start of school, the smell of new notebooks, my new backpack and lunchbox. Yes back then it was a lunchBOX! Lol Thanks Andrea for another great day!"   - Christine Riffle

2 - Products:

Products designed with the busy teacher in mind. We know you don’t have time to devote several extra hours each week to your classroom. You have a family and life you want to enjoy away from work. Find fun, simple, yet effective products to try in your classroom.

"I always feel excited/energized after watching you teach! I wish everyone could understand how much good stuff is happening in your classroom and on so many levels! From social-emotional, to academic, to behavior management, to language building, it's truly fabulous!"  - Medina C. school psychologist and mom of preschoolers

3 - Blog:

My blog is devoted to sharing ideas, resources, and materials which inspire teachers to create a cognitive rich and balanced early childhood learning environment for children to grow and flourish.  I strive to share best practices using activities and lessons that are researched-based,  developmentally appropriate, and enjoyable for both teachers and students .

“ For children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” ~Fred Rodgers

When asked what did you learn today?

"We didn’t learn anything today, mom, we just played all day! "

  Hi!I’m Andrea

Elementary teacher. Stay at home mom. Turned preschool school teacher extraordinaire.

Teaching children has always been my gift and my passion. I have loved it and devoted my days and nights to it for many years. Even when I became a mom to my two beautiful girls (now preteens—yikes), I wanted to ignite the love of learning in them and other children.  But it wasn’t all that easy to go from teaching in the elementary classroom to teaching 2, 3, and 4 year olds. It was a bit of a roller coaster with joyful highs and stressful lows with a twist of overwhelm in between. However, I got through it and I am still loving the journey!

TLG4Teachers was created inspire, support, and empower moms like me, who are transitioning from one profession to a new career in the early childhood field.  I would love for you to join me on this fun and amazing journey as we teach, learn, and grow together.
